Combined with bio-based polyol, FH-85510 is an aromatic polyester polyol with high aromaticity for use in both halogenated and nonhalogenated polyurethane and polyisocyanurate (PU/PIR) systems.
FH-5510 polyol is formulated for use in hydrocarbon blown flexible-faced board stock and metal-faced sandwich panels. FH series polyol technology can deliver superior burn performance in industry flammability testing: forming char with minimal shrinkage and high weight retention while improving ease of processing during rigid foam production; and improved adhesion to various substrates commonly used in rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam products.
FH-5510 polyol is also formulated to provide good thermal and stability properties for systems containing hydrofluoroolefins (HFO) as blowing agents with and without hydrocarbons.

Safety considerations
Most FH series polyols generally present no significant hazard in use when simple precautions are followed. However, some FH series polyols are hazardous and before working with these systems it is necessary to understand the hazards involved in handling all of the components and to establish and follow safe work procedures. Material Safety Data Sheets, product literature and safe handling and storage information are available for the polyurethane components supplied by Hug Chem. Recommendations for handling, storage and disposal of any ingredient not furnished by Hug Chem should be acquired from the supplier.
Storage and Packaging
FH-85510 polyol is slightly hygroscopic and may absorb water. Containers should be kept tightly closed and protected from contamination with moisture and foreign materials, which can adversely affect processing. This product can become quite viscous at low temperatures. For ease of handling, storage temperatures between 15°C (59°F) and 60°C (140°F) are recommended.
The shelf life is twelve months after receipt of material by customer, when stored in sealed original containers under conditions stated above.
