Introduction

HUG CHEM have constantly devoted itself to the new ideas on both sustainable development and eco-friendly polyols. Polymers compounded from polyols have become indispensable in modern life, it is so important to shape a beautiful future which we expect. The passion of our company on innovation and sustainability drives us to be a major player in the bio-based polyol industry. We like challenging work.

We offer a wide range of polyol products and services for varying polyurethane markets, demands and industries, including industrial coatings, waterproof coatings for concrete, adhesives for automotive, construction, packaging and general assembly, construction sealants, electronics sealants, rigid foam insulation and spray foam, binders for athletic tracks, playgrounds and molded products, soft or microcellular elastomers, and TPU.

As one of the leading suppliers of environmentally-friendly polyols for coating, adhesive, sealant resins, our work is focused on aligning our product portfolio even more closely with sustainability and circular economy target.

In our own production plant, we expand available resources by using biomass as raw material for manufacturing bio-based polyols. This not only increases efficiency and saves resources, in our own production. It also helps our customers to improve their environmental footprint.

Certifications

Fossil resources are dwindling and processing them for use in chemical products can also be very energy-intensive. For this reason, we want to tap into more and more alternative raw materials. We have already managed to do so in various parts of our production process – and we are working continuously on other projects. The long-term aim: to exclude the use of fossil resources completely wherever possible.

In addition, HUG CHEM has made important progress in the use of plant-based raw materials for polyurethane production. These hold the potential to reduce dependence on fossil resources and improve the material's carbon footprint. Now our vegetable oil-based polyols are used as leading material for weathering coatings and structural adhesives in the industries of constructions and electronics.

Statement

Persistent Organic Pollutants are chemicals that remain intact in the environment for long periods, become widely distributed geographically, accumulate in the fatty tissue of humans and wildlife, and have adverse effects on human health or to the environment. Our Policy

Sustainability is at the center of all our thoughts and actions. It encompasses everything from the behavior of every single employee and how projects are carried out, to safety, compliance and business conduct, and even how we interact with interest groups and assume responsibility for products and processes along the entire value chain.
